Harbinger of Spring Sterling Silver Earrings

Tulips.

One of the many harbingers of spring.

I love seeing colorful tulips alongside daffodils in the store after a long winter of grey.

Their rainbow of pinks, reds, oranges, and yellows is a bright and cheerful welcome into spring.

For the earrings, I sketched the tulips on paper, cut out the sketches, applied them to Sterling Silver sheet and then very carefully cut out the tulips with a jewelers saw. They were then soldered onto Sterling Silver medallions which were oxidized to make the tulips pop.

These are truly one of a kind as the tulip sketch is no longer, so although I may make more tulip earrings, they’ll be from a completely different sketch.

The medallions hang from hand fabricated oxidized Sterling Silver french hooks and come with backs for safe keeping.

The earrings come gift boxed and ready to give.
