"Lamar" Dendritic Agate and Sterling Silver Necklace

In Yellowstone National Park there is a beautiful and vast valley in the northern part of the park named Lamar Valley.

Alongside the Lamar River which winds through the valley moving from east to west, there is a stand of giant Cottonwood trees that sit on its banks.

This Dendritic Agate reminds me of that Cottonwood stand.

Dendritic Agates are a beautiful and unique member of the Chalcedony family and are known for their natural miniature paintings and nature scenes that are caused by iron and Manganese dendrites that form within the Agate.

The Dendritic Agate is framed with oxidized Fine and Sterling Silver and hangs on an oxidized small Paperclip chain.
