Burmese Ruby and 14 Karat Gold necklace

I have an affinity for Rubies.

I’m not sure if it’s because pink is one of my favorite colors, if it’s because the color reminds me of freshly budded and opened wild roses in early summer, or if it’s because they’re just so danged cheerful, beautiful, and combine beautifully with so many other gemstones. But, regardless, these Burmese Rubies are b.e.a.u.t.i.f.u.l..

Because these Rubies are so gorgeous and so saturated in color, I wanted to absolutely do right by them, hence the use of 14 Karat Gold rather than 14 Karat Gold Fill.

This necklace isn’t too overpowering nor is it subtle. It’s just right.

Rubies are the birthstone for July.
